Monkton Swim School "Learn to Swim" program, run in accordance with the Amateur Swimming Association's (ASA) National Plan for Teaching Swimming (NPTS) for children and adults and the Swimming Teachers Assocations (STA) International Learn to Swim Program (ILSP).
The NPTS and the ILSP is an all-inclusive program which takes babies from their first splash to developing confidence, competence and competion standard swimmers.
At Monkton Swim School we understand that swimming must be fun and enjoyable. That's why our entire lesson program is built around the term FUNdamentals.
To ensure that we fulfil this goal, children will be encouraged to take part in a wide range of additional games and skill sessions within their normal swimming lessons. These sessions may include water safety, lifeguarding, water polo synchronised swimming, diving and competition skills. These skills when put together result in a competent, confident and safe swimmer who has the skill base to participate in a wider range of water based sports.
The Swim School runs over a 12 week period set within the local schools term time, each class being 30 minutes long. All of our Swimming Teachers are fully qualified and have many years of experience in teaching swimming. Feedback is given to parents in the form of a grading reports on weeks 11 and 12 of the program, these dates correlate with swim school re-enrolment.
The cost of the classes start at £60.00 per term.
There are no swimming classes week beginning 11th February 2013 due to half term.
