Claremont Church, Claremont Rd, Fairfield Park, Bath

Steiner inspired parent and child group (also see Beansprouts) for children aged 2 - 5 years. There's a focus on nature/seasons and natural products/craft (so no plastic). Also there is a rhythm/structure that the children feel familiar with but we follow their dynamic rather than the clock.

Pixies is run by Sue (so you get a chance to put your feet up) at Claremont Church. They run 10.00am - 12.00pm on Thursdays and Fridays.

Spaces are limited to about 12 families. There's usually a waiting list so you'll need to contact Sue so that she can contact you in the event of a space being available for a taster session (i.e. because someone is on holiday). £5.50 a session paid termly in advance.

I've been going to this group for about eighteen months now and love it. It's gentle enough to bring the smallest of babies but varied enough for pre schoolers too and any age in between. The children love the routine of play time craft/activity time, singing , snack , story then home. The crafts, songs and stories are always linked to the seasons and the toys that the children play with encourage creativity too. No plastic just lovely natural materials. It's also one of the few groups where I can take both children of differing ages. Sue has a lovely calming influence on everyone and the children all love her. She makes everyone feel very welcome and also manages the time to make all parents a hot drink too at snack time! Highly recommended!
