We’ve had the Olympics, we’ve had the Paralympics, now it’s the Toddler Olympics…
The Toddler Olympics is a free creative play event for children under 5 and their families which will take place on Saturday 20th October 2012 in Bathampton Village Hall.
Families are invited to take a series of challenges around the hall, a sort of arts obstacle course with (at times rather tenuous) links to Olympic sports. It’s an opportunity for families to have fun together, jump around, sing, dance and be a bit silly. Can you think of children’s songs about sailing, rowing and horses? Of course you can – and we’ll be singing them! There’ll also be craft activities and refreshments. Lycra cycling shorts and sweat bands optional.
The event is free thanks to funding from Bath & North East Somerset Council’s Cultural Olympiad Micro Grant fund and is also supported by Bathampton Pre-school Playgroup.
The Toddler Olympics is co-ordinated by The Ship of Songs, a community arts group who work across BANES, Wiltshire and Somerset.
10.30am to 12 noon, Saturday 20th October 2012
Bathampton Village Hall, Holcombe Lane, Bathampton BA2 6UL
