As part of the Pride in Bath Awards, BMI Bath Clinic are delighted to be working together with The Bath Chronicle to launch Cash for your Community – a community competition open to ALL groups, projects, schools and organisations across Bath & Somerset.
We’re going to be giving away £12,000 cash to the local community – and it’s up to you how you spend it!
To benefit as many organisations as possible, we’ll be splitting the prize pot to make: One prize of each; £5,000 £3,000 & £1,000. Two prizes of £500 PLUS four prizes of £250 and the remaining groups will each get £100.
To nominate a local community group download a nomination form and email it to wishcampaign@westnews.co.uk, or alternatively use a nomination form printed in The Bath Chronicle every week until the 19th January and pop it in the post. All nominations must be received by the 23rd January.
You will be able to read about as many of the nominated groups as possible in the newspaper and on the Facebook page. This is a great chance to let everyone know what your chosen group would do with the money, and gives you the opportunity to raise support for your local community.
Once the closing date for entry has passed, a panel of judges will determine a shortlist of 20 nominations and voting will begin. You will be able to vote on Facebook from 2nd February using voting buttons, and we will also print voting tokens in The Bath Chronicle every week from 2nd February. Each token will have a different ‘monetary value’ and the aim is to collect as many tokens as possible, encouraging the people in your local community to do the same.
The prizes will be awarded to the nominees who submit the most tokens and receive the most votes online. The more tokens you collect and online votes you receive the higher the chance you have at winning top cash prizes.
Please ensure your chosen nomination is aware that you are entering them and they are a registered charity or not-for-profit group. Terms & conditions apply. For more details visit The Bath Chronicle or The Pride in Bath facebook page.
