ENJOY – A small festival with a BIG vibe

Friday, 13th April 2012 - comments (0) Comment

Enjoy Festival is a family friendly, free festival which kicks off on Sunday May 20th, from 11.00am through to 8.00pm at Green Park Station in Bath. The festival has been sponsored by local business women from Minki Balinki, Freedom Through Dance, Lux Shoe Boutique and Re:Treat Massage and we’d like to thank them for making the whole thing possible.

Green Park Station, the grade 2 listed Victorian train station in the centre of Bath, has a beautiful transparent roof, making it an ideal all weather venue for the whole family.

Enjoy festival has two main aims: firstly to raise funds for the charity Health Poverty Action, which works with poor and marginalised people across the world. Secondly to highlight the talents of women in business, creativity & performance. The fund raising will be via a charity raffle with some fantastic prizes, along with collections run by volunteers throughout the day.

The festival will include entertainment including an eclectic mix of market stalls, a beauty and holistic lounge, food quarter offering global cuisine, belly dancers and workshop, art exhibition, and a children's area with face painting and crafts. Breeze Bath, the all female bicycle association, is organising a bike ride finishing at the festival. Internationally renowned magician Katherine Mills, one of the only female members of The Magic Circle, will be wowing the crowds with her incredible sleight of hand and mind reading talents. There will also be live music throughout the day including a performance from Bath's very own, Vocal Works Gospel Choir, along with DJs and performers from all over the UK. There is a fancy dress competition with the theme Iconic Men and Women, with prizes for the best dressed.

Organisers Justin & Annie Green said: “We’re holding this an all-inclusive event to create a real feel good day in what has been a difficult time for many people. This is about seeing something new, meeting other people and enjoying the atmosphere and entertainment.

After party to be confirmed.

For further information on the event or to book a stall (£25 for the day) please email Claire, Enjoy Press Officer or give her a call on 07971 677110. For general enquiries please call Justin on 07968 941140 or Annie on 07531 557658
