From a very early age Eddie started to take Zach swimming every Saturday morning - both Daddy and Zach soon enjoyed having lots of fun in the water, building their confidence and bonding. As he grew into a toddler Zach loved his swimming lessons so much he encouraged his mummy, Lora, to take him to classes in the week as well!
Lora and Eddie enjoyed the whole experience of baby swimming lessons so much they decided that they wanted to introduce other parents to the joys of teaching their own little ones to swim in a safe and enjoyable environment – and so their second baby: Aquababies was born!
Eddie had some fantastic news this year when What’s On 4 Little Ones contacted him to let him know he had been nominated for Most Outstanding Activity Leader – Wales and West. Parents of Aquababies West were invited to vote for Eddie and yesterday Aquababies West went to the Award Ceremony as Finalists.
“It’s both a very humbling and exciting experience to be a finalist in the ‘What’s On 4 Little Ones Awards’. To be recognised for doing something I fell in love with when I first took Zach is fantastic. I go to work every day and teach people to do the thing I love doing the most; baby swimming” says Eddie. Eddie is in the picture taking 8 week old Clement for his first underwater swim with his Mum, Becky. Clement is now 15 months old and swimming with us in our Toddler Class (picture taken by very proud dad Martin Holden).
Our courses are baby-led and a gentle approach to introducing your little one to the joys of water whilst developing the motor co-ordination of a basic swimming stoke.
