The egg cafe is good. It's nice and relaxed with a play area for the kids. I haven't been but I have heard that the society cafe in kings mead square is also good, with things for the kids to do.
Went to Society Cafe today with my 2yr old and it was fab. Downstairs is an area for kids with all sorts of things to do - and a huge tele showing the Olympics - could have stayed all day!
Haven't been for ages but the Bear in Bear Flat did have a play area with a toy kitchen and lots of toys, and the food was nice too. The Crown in Bathford also has toys and if the weather's nice has a playhouse in the garden, they do a children's menu and the food is great. A bit further away, the Mill at Rode has a separate playroom with playstation and xbox, toys and a good play area outside. Agree Society Cafe is fab
The bear is good for lunch, toys and baby changing are available.
hi, the cowtastic play area in farrington gurney farm shop is good for kids to run around and see farm animals, (have to pay £2.50 thou) they have tables outside and you can get food from the cafe there. If its raining the cafe has a small area with toys.
Woodies farm shop and cafe on the A36 is great on a sunny day. Big grass area, tee pee, trampoline and little tractors to ride on for the kids and a lovely cafe with a decking area which overlooks the play area. We're also fond of the Real Italian on York Street, no kids bit but they are very child friendly, and if you can bag a table downstairs you can watch the pizzas being made.
The Hub Grub Cafe @ Southside in Twerton is good. tasty local food with a softplay area, with a glass 'wall' so you can relax in peace while seeing your kids all the time.
Alice Park has a nice Cafe and the kids can just run loose in the play park right in front of the cafe. The farm shop at Neston has cute play area and cafe too.
