Hi,
The childrens centre runs a few things in PSJ- at the moment on Monday mornings at the Children's centre which is next to the school they are running a sign, rhyme & story time session think it's for 0-5 age group, and also there on a Wednesday morning (I think!) they have a messy play session! Lots of arts & craft, water play, painting etc, 0-5 age group again. My little boy used to enjoy it.
There is also a toddler group which I think is on a Tuesday, not sure if that is at the childrens centre or in Beacon Hall.
Also a few little parks dotted around, one opposite the school, and 2 in the new estate.
Coffee shop in the village is nice too.
I don't know how to add a link but if you copy and paste the below it will give you info for Peasedown childrens centre, and there is a what's on link there too for Peasedown/Radstock/Norton and surrounding area.

We're just moving back into Bath after living here for nearly 5 years otherwise we'd have met you for coffee!
Hope this helps!
Hi, I live in Peasedown. i have a 3yr old and a 11 month old, and there's loads to do round here. The children's centre is great, there's something on pretty much every day in term time. The groups are all well-attended and people are friendly. I found that when I moved here a couple of years ago everyone was welcoming, and the kids and I have found it easy to make friends.
Give me a shout when you move, I'll meet up with you and show you the sights
Thanks, that infos really useful! I know the area well as I spent my teenage years living in Peasedown, but now moving back with a family of my own, I was a bit stumped as to what was available these days but it all sounds great.
Would love to meet up though Siobhan, as I don't know anyone living in the area any more....It's always a bit nerve wracking going to groups etc. for the first time!
No worries, let us know when you've moved and we'll come and say hi
Zebedees on Eckweek Road is a super nursery. The staff in Both the baby room and the pre school could not be any more welcoming. I recommend you pop in and say hello.
Hi! I'm a mum of 2 older children (8 & 11) moving into Peasedown. How tricky is it to get to Bath Secondary Schools in the mornings? Is the traffic really bad?
Hi RobynH - I am also moving to Peasedown but only next year. My children are 8 and 12. I am also wondering about the morning ride into school. I think that if you choose schools on the Southern Side it should be easier - around 15 mins? I am hoping it is not too bad. Have you conisidered Writhlington for your 11 year old? There is a bus from Peasedown for the children.
Hi, i'm also planning to move from bath to peasedown this summer with my then 3 and 1 year old. I am very curious to hear how you've found the change from living near the centre of bath to living in peasedown. I have got the feeling that
(Well that's not typing so smooth frommy iphone) .. But have the feeling that peasedown is friendly and full of young families, am i right? I am keen to understand the community feel, do for example kids to play in the streets together etc? Would be great to hear some experiences. Thanks!
@maria miller - how have you found settling into peasedown so far?
Thanks

Hi Maria,
Welcome to Peasedown!
I highly recommend Laurel Farm Kindergarten to you (Steiner inspired). It is in Carlingcott, on a smallholding with farm animals and walks. There is a Parent and Child Group called Greensprouts for children 0-3 which meets on Monday and Friday 10-12.30. There is also a Kindergarten/pre school for children 3-7 Tues, Wed and Thurs 9.30-4.30
Contact Barbara for more information: laurelfarmenquiries@gmail.com 07873544146 and also see http://www.laurelfarmkindergarten.co.uk/
Enjoy!
Warm wishes,
Ross
Hi Maria,
I was going to recommend Laurel Farm too, two parent and toddler groups on a fri am and fri pm, which we went to and loved. Now my child is at the kindergarten 3-7 year olds. A lovely farm site, just a quick walk away, with sheep, ducks and pigs etc.
Best wishes, Liz
Hi - pleased so many people moving to Peasedown! We are moving in July. Children are 9 and 12. My son is autisitic and will be going to Three Ways and so thought daughter should also go to school in southern side of Bath.... thinking St Gregory's or Hayesfied but her cousin goes to Writhlington. Do most secondary children go to Writhlington form Peasedown. SO hard to choose a school (or at least put down our first choice in application!) Any Peasedown mums got experience of any of these schools? Thanks! Bathmums has been such a great help with our decision to move
Most secondary school kids in Peasedown do go to Writhlington. Coaches pick them up from a few different stops the estate and village in the morning, and drop them off at the end of the school day.
